Web design prices
What a website actually costs.
£999 for a one-off build that is yours outright, or £599 plus £30 a month with hosting looked after. You will find cheaper, and you will find a great deal more expensive. What follows is what each one includes, what moves the number, and why we think it is worth the difference. If you would rather judge the work before the price, the web design portfolio is live and open.

How that compares
What a small business website costs in the UK.
| Route | Typical cost | Who does the work |
|---|---|---|
| Website builder | A monthly plan, and your own evenings | You, on Wix, Squarespace or similar |
| Freelancer or small studio | Usually £500 to £3,000 | A designer, with you |
| Agency | Well above £3,000 | A team, through an account manager |
| KORCO | £999, or £599 plus £30 a month | One designer, and you see the site before you pay |
What moves the number
Four things that change the price.
How many pages it needs
A trade with four services and a handful of towns needs more pages than a single page for a musician. Both quotes above cover a normal small business site. Past roughly a dozen pages we will say so before we start, not afterwards.
Whether it has to take bookings or orders
A booking system wired into a real calendar, or ordering that takes payment, is a different job from a site that gets someone to phone you. It is not always worth it, and we will tell you when we think it is not.
What state the photography is in
This is the one people never budget for and it changes the result more than any other single thing. If you have usable photographs it costs nothing. If you do not, we will tell you honestly rather than designing around pictures that let the site down.
How much of the writing you want to do
Plenty of clients would rather write their own words and plenty would rather never think about it again. Either is fine. It changes the time involved, so it changes the number, and we agree which it is up front.
Trades sit at the top of that range more often than not, because a plumber or an electrician needs a page per service and the towns they cover. There is a page on websites for tradesmen setting out what that includes, with a finished build you can open.

Common questions
On the money
What people ask before committing to a number. If yours isn't here, just ask.
In the UK a freelancer or a small studio will usually land between £500 and £3,000 for a small business website, and agencies start well above that. Ours are £999 for a one-off build, or £599 plus £30 a month. The range is that wide because the work is: a one page site for a musician and a trade site with bookings wired into a real calendar are not the same job. Four things move it more than anything else: how many pages you need, whether it has to take bookings or orders, what state your photographs are in, and how much of the writing you want to do yourself.
Enough that they can afford to do the job properly, and never so much that you cannot see where it went. The useful test is not the number itself. It is whether the price was on the page before you enquired, whether you get to see the site working before you pay anything, and whether you own the files at the end. A quote that fails those three has a bigger problem than its price.
Because those are usually a template with your logo dropped into it, sold at volume. Everything we build is designed for the specific business, tested on real devices, and built to load fast. If a template genuinely suits you better we will say so, because an unhappy client is worse for us than a lost one.
Fixed once we agree it. The four things above set the quote, we agree it before any work starts, and that is the number. If something comes up mid-build that would change it, we stop and tell you rather than adding it to an invoice at the end.
Hosting, SSL, backups, uptime monitoring and keeping the site online and secure. It does not cover changes to the site. Those are charged hourly with discounted bundles, always quoted before we start.
No. We design and build a real, working preview and send you a link you can open on your phone and show anyone. Only when you are happy does any money change hands. That applies to both options.
On the one-off build you own every file outright and it is delivered to your own hosting, with no lock-in. On the hosting plan we look after it for you, and you can still take it with you if you ever want to.
Charged at an hourly rate with discounted bundles, always quoted before we start, so you are never surprised by an invoice. Small tweaks are usually quick and we will tell you when something is not worth charging for.
